Great Facilities for Fun

I really enjoyed the ample recreational facilities available at the hotel. The indoor pool was a highlight for me, heated to a comfy 29 degrees, creating the perfect environment for relaxing after a long day. The gym was nicely air-conditioned with plenty of water available, and I loved the squash court, which added a competitive aspect to my stay. There were also tennis courts and a playground for kids. Overall, I found the fitness options excellent for a rejuvenating experience.

Convenient Parking Options

I found the guest parking to be very convenient during my stay. Each room has its own dedicated parking spot, which made unloading my luggage a breeze. The access to parking right in front of my room, especially during the colder nights, was a good convenience. I didn’t have to lug my suitcase through long corridors, and it added to the comfort of my overall experience.

Spacious and Comfortable Rooms

My stay had its ups and downs. The hotel is undergoing renovations which made the entrance quite uninviting with all the scaffolding around. However, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and modern. The dining options were somewhat limited and the road conditions to get to my room were a bit concerning, but overall, I had a decent experience.

I booked this hotel for a one-night stay after attending the Wairarapa Balloon Festival and really appreciated how smoothly they handled the change in my reservation due to a postponement. The food at the buffet dinner was beautifully presented and delicious, although it took a while to get served at the bar. My room was clean and had a lovely outdoor patio, but I noticed a couple of minor issues like missing supplies. Overall, the complex felt well-kept but I wouldn’t mind seeing some updates. I'd definitely consider returning for more local events.
